Kirchner Report Government Backups

This is a collection of ZIM files containing backups of several key U.S. government agency websites. These backups are freely available because government websites are public domain and owned by the citizens of the United States.

What is a ZIM File?

A ZIM file is a compressed archive format designed for offline storage of web content, primarily used with Kiwix, an open-source offline reader. You can download Kiwix from here to view the files.

How to Download the Backups

These backups can be downloaded through torrents or direct downloads:

Torrent Downloads

You can find a list of torrent files here: Kirchner Report Torrents.

A torrent file is a small metadata file used by BitTorrent clients to locate and download files. To download using a torrent, you need a BitTorrent client such as qBittorrent or Transmission.

Onion Network Direct Downloads

Update: Due to the reliability of a direct connection for such large files (or lack thereof), the files can only be downloaded from this point forward over BitTorrent. Sorry for any inconvienence.

Important Notes

This site is hosted locally, not in a data center. I am not an IT expert—I'm just trying to help preserve key government websites. Use this at your own risk. I am not responsible for any issues that arise from using these files.

Downloading these sites, including via torrent, is completely legal. These are government websites, meaning they are public domain and not subject to copyright laws.
